On Physical Reality
It is understood that what you do on the physical plane ripples through reality and penetrates into the very heart of your being, and, “as above,” into the universe’s being. So, like the author of your own story, the words you speak, the materials you wear, and the understanding you have of yourself are all means of manifesting your life.
The astral and material worlds, known as Yetzirah and Assiah respectively, are constantly interacting with one another—bouncing off each other and creating an endless loop of manifestation. If left unchecked, this can lead to a life where you are not the main character, but a side character in someone else’s story, constantly being pulled in a direction you never wanted any part of. More directly, what you do on the physical plane affects what happens to you on the spiritual plane, and vice versa. By understanding this, it becomes easier to see how you can feel as though you are being pulled without your consent. Unfortunately, to the layman, it is with your consent.
We can actively make the decision to create our reality. Through the intricacies of colour, shape, material, and voice, it is possible to influence the universal mind to imagine us in a different situation (or to imagine others in a different situation, whether for healing or cursing). As we are directly experiencing the material world, one of the first steps to achieving meaningful outcomes is to act physically first, then through imagination, and then through will. A change in physical reality makes it easier to imagine a new one. Successful imagination makes it easier to focus “will” upon a desired outcome. And focusing will sends your energy forward into creation.
These are the foundational steps of magick in any practice. Although spells and practices might work well while discarding these principles, I would encourage you to try employing them to achieve greater results.
