Centred on the desolate burial ground known as Akeldama or the Potter's Field, this work unearths the complex mythos of Judas Iscariot as a foundational figure within traditional witchcraft and the via negativa. Rather than viewing the Betrayer merely through the lens of orthodox condemnation, Chambers examines how early Christian cults, medieval folk magic, and the Gnostic Gospel of Judas preserved a far richer arcana of charming, cursing, and book anathemas.

Spanning from the Gnostic Cainite sects to early modern folk customs, this study reveals how the sorcerous current surrounding Judas became intertwined with diabolism, book curses, and the sacred craft of the margins. By tracing the evolution of these accursed lore traditions, the author highlights the role of the outcast and hermit within the broader current of traditional witchcraft. It is an essential addition for collectors, researchers of esoteric folklore, and practitioners dedicated to understanding the deeper currents of folk magic and historical occultism.

Author: Ian Chambers

Publisher: Ninth Circle Press

Edition: Standard Edition

Binding: Hardcover

Page edges: Standard

Dust jacket: Yes

Condition: New

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1047/8420/0021/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_e5123f2a-c593-4275-bfa8-1b34cced10f0.jpg?v=1791272148
https://isaflamel.com/products/haqel-d-ma-accursed-lore-and-magic-from-the-field-of-blood-by-ian-chambers-traditional-witchcraft-folk-magic
